ONLINE EDUCATION
Distance learning was once only possible by corresponding through the mail. In the late 1970s and 1980s, higher education institutions in the U.S. and Europe began delivering instructional content to distance learners over cable and satellite TV. From the ,mid-1990s onwards, the Internet rapidly became the most common method of delivering distance education.
Online education is "synchronous" if the teacher and student have some direct, simultaneous contact. For instance, a teacher might meet with students in a chat forum for a discussion. Another example of synchronous distance learning is a teacher delivering a lecture at a scheduled time while students watch it simultaneously via a webcam. Distance learning also allows for "asynchronous" learning, where instructor and learner do not meet in time or space. For instance, a student may go to a website to read or watch the week's lectures at any point during the week. Students may use email to submit assignments to the teacher or ask questions. Asynchronous learning opens up enormous possibilities by divorcing education from the constraints of time as well as place. During the academic year 2006-2007, the U.S. Department of Education found that 65 percent of two-year and four-year post-secondary institutions offered college-level online learning for credit. Community colleges make the greatest use of online learning to cut costs and reach a wide audience of learners. A full 97 percent of two-year public institutions offer credit-granting online learning
In summary, online education is good way to learning in web or social media, when teacher and students had distance it will not hard, because each other can disscussing in chat or social media, also can sharing lesson from web. To increase our learn, not only in class but also we can get lesson from social media or website, it depend on us to filter the educate information.

ALAY

Alay is a pop culture phenomenon. It is a stereotype describing something “tacky” and “cheesy” The Alay culture phenomena spans over a wide array of styles in music, dress, and messaging. It has often been compared to that of the Jejemon phenomenon originating from the Philippines, and also the Swag phenomenon.
The word "Alay" or "Alayen" has no exact meaning or obvious derivation. Various definitions of alay are offered when one types it on a search engine. One theory that is widely accepted is that "Alay" is a portmanteau of the term "Anak Layangan" a pejorative describing someone having certain physical attributes from spending most of their time outside (e.g. reddened hair and skin). Also kite is considered as cheap entertainment to the middle and lower class in modern Indonesia.
Alay text (Indonesian:Tulisan alay ) is a form of the Indonesian language that has undergone "excessive transformation". Contrary to the popular belief that it is "destroying" the national language, grammatical standards are met in contrast to the modern Indonesian slang language. Similar to the jejemon, alay texts offer an alternative in compressing words so that they are under the 160 character-limit in text messages, often to the point that they are impossible to read. Rules in capitalization are mostly ignored.
Alay text may have originated from the method of making strong passwords for internet accounts, which requires combinations of small and capital letters, numbers, as well as special characters. Normally, to keep the password meaningful and easy to remember, the password would consist of normal words, where some letters are capitalised or substituted with numbers (e.g. the letter a with 4, the letter o with 0). Soon this becomes a habit in writing text in general, and improved with mixing English and Indonesian in one sentence.
Confusing text that could not be understood properly and probably has no meaning (except for the writer), is also considered as Alay Text. This type of text usually contains information of the writer's mood and feeling, it is also common for the text to contain the writer's own philosophy on a certain topic such as : love, heart break, and relationship.
According to The Jakarta Post, a high school student from East Java initiated the trend and shot to fame after her writings were discussed in forums and blogs not because they were great, but they were in "code". Her approach in writing attracted a lot of attention, with some people reproducing her writing in forums and blogs.
How can the word ciyus have the same meaning as the word serius (serious in English) Well, you may get various answers from Indonesian people who are fond of using bahasa Alay.
Bahasa Alay is considered as a language created, used, and shared by alay people. The term alay refers to a group of people particularly teenagers who have a unique look, unique character, and unique language. Some people believe that bahasa Alay has been popular since Short Message Service program was launched. In order to create a message as short as possible, people tend to shorten their words. As time goes by, most Indonesian teenagers have been fond of not only shortening a word but also replacing alphabets with numbers and mixing lower-case letters and upper-case letters to form a word. The surprising thing is there are many new words formed and popular. Although bahasa Alay has been criticized by some people because it “ruins” Indonesian language but it is quite fascinating to learn a little bit about bahasa Alay.
Can you guess what the meaning of “H4! uD4H l4mA nDa KtMu, p4 Kb4R nA!?” is? We will translate it into a proper Indonesian language first.
H4! = hai
uD4H = sudah
l4mA = lama
nDa = tidak
KtMU = bertemu
p4 Kb4R nA!? = bagaimana kabarnya?
In short, that sentence means, “Hai, sudah lama tidak bertemu, bagaimana kabarnya? (Hi, long time no see, how are you?)” We can see that the sentence consists of upper-case letters, lower-case letters, and numbers. What is more, there is no exact rule how it can be like this.
